Valerio Antonini has over 20 years’ experience and a proven track record in the global agricultural commodities trading sector.
As Former Representative and Broker of Commodities Trading at Casillo Group, he developed and implemented a diversification strategy with a creation of a new business line focusing on the trading of commodities, that resulted in the transformation of the Group into a more profitable business.
He instigated large trades of white corn for various destinations and infiltrated the Turkish and Algerian Durum wheat market, being the first person to trade after the anti-competition ban was lifted.
Over the course of his career, Valerio has personally managed over 50 million tons of agricultural commodities worldwide.
We are delighted to share a few images of Quanton’s 2023 seminar presented by our CEO Valerio Antonini at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on Agribusiness Today & Global Trends.
The event was attended by the students and the faculty, as well as the distinguished guests including His Excellency The Ambassador of Embassy of Argentina in the UK Javier Figueroa, the Latin America Editor at the Financial Times Michael Stott, among other personalities. The seminar was a great opportunity to discuss the current global scenario of agribusiness, the Black Sea Grain Initiative and how it influences the global food market. The speech was followed by a Q&A session, including topics such as Quanton’s strategy with African and Latin American governments and the latest geopolitical developments in Iran, Venezuela and East Africa.
The seminar was the first of a series of talks from Valerio Antonini during this year about agribusiness, global trade and sustainability.
